Geelong Reformed Presbyterian Church

God has called us to be and make disciples of Jesus Christ. Out of loving obedience to Him and by the power of the Holy Spirit we will: worship God, study the Word, grow together, pray faithfully, share the good news and transform the world for Christ.

Some are weary of life, others fearful of death. Paul was faced with the possibility that he would be put to death and did some thinking about the advantages and disadvantages. The takeaway for the believer is that both life and death may be faced with joy.

In John 17 Jesus prays repeatedly that those the Father had given Him would be one, yet divisions keep us from most cooperative work in Kingdom service. As Paul sat in a prison in Rome, he models for us a spirit of charity, rejoicing and mission focus that gives us principles for moving forward in a more cooperative kingdom effort.
